Simply placing our hands on you with the intention of giving a session will be enough to start the Reiki energy flowing, through us to you.  It is not necessary to meditate or consecrate or go into an altered state to use or receive Reiki.  You may feel a tingling sensation as the energy gently clears and opens energy pathways.  You may experience feelings of relaxation, joy, love, well-being, security, freedom, balance, harmony, and other positive states.  By allowing yourself to experience the consciousness of Reiki, not only will you experience Reiki more strongly, you can also experience a deep healing.  It is our intention that Reiki comes from a place of love, compassion and kindness within us.  Since Reiki is guided by spiritual consciousness, it can never cause harm.
